National Disability Employment Awareness Month Focuses on Advancing Access and Equity

October 16, 2023

For this year's observance of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) throughout October, the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL's) Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) selected Advancing Access and Equity as the theme. NDEAM "celebrates the contributions of America's workers with disabilities past and present and showcases supportive, inclusive employment policies and practices that benefit employers and employees," as explained on the U.S. DOL's NDEAM webpage.

This webpage provides links to related resources, including the Presidential proclamation; downloadable posters and graphics; and ideas for activities and social media postings for various target audiences: employers and employees; educators and youth service professionals; state governors, legislators and other policymakers; associations and unions; disability-related organizations; and federal agencies.
