With the June 30th deadline for finalizing a budget just a few weeks away, there is limited time for Governor Phil Murphy and State Legislators to resolve many key budget issues, which are tax hikes, New Jersey Transit, the budget surplus, affordability (the biggest issue for voters in this year's legislative elections) and "federal wild cards," as reported in NJ Spotlight News (May 27, 2025).
Though Time Is Running Short, We Still Have Time to Advocate - and We Must!
NJAMHAA strongly urges all members to advocate to the State Legislature. Use NJAMHAA's campaign, Untold Stories – Why Access to Care Must Be the Highest Priority, to illustrate the critical need for increased funding to expand and strengthen New Jersey's behavioral healthcare workforce in order to meet the constantly increasing demand for the life-saving services you provide.
